1. Introduction

Patent Attorney Woong Kim is a leading expert in design disputes, with in-depth knowledge of the Design Protection Act, Unfair Competition Prevention Act, and Copyright Act. He handles all stages of design disputes, including infringement analysis, invalidation trials, litigation opinions, and dispute prevention counseling. He represented Samsung Electronics in its design infringement and unfair competition litigation against Apple, securing a full victory. He has also conducted design right infringement opinions and invalidation analyses for major corporations including AmorePacific and Korea Kolmar. He currently serves as Policy Advisor on Design Protection Law at the Ministry of Intellectual Property (MOIP), Chairman of the Design System Committee at the Korea Patent Attorneys Association (KPAA), and Expert Member of the National Intellectual Property Committee under the President of Korea.
